Build a Legacy

with Keene State College

We invite you to join a generations-long tradition of supporting Keene State College students through a legacy gift. Planning for the future of your assets is one of the most powerful ways to ensure a quality education remains accessible for students to come.

Our Free Gift to You: FreeWill

To help make the estate planning process simple and accessible, we've partnered with FreeWill to offer you a free and easy way to create your will or trust.

  • It's Completely Free: You can complete your legal will or trust document in about 20 minutes at no cost to you.

  • No Obligation: As a friend of Keene State College, you are welcome to use this free tool with absolutely no requirement to include the college in your final plans.

  • Flexibility: You can use the document FreeWill generates on its own, or use it to organize your wishes before finalizing your plans with an attorney.

A Note on Non-Probate Assets

Did you know that accounts like your IRA, 401(k), or life insurance policy aren't controlled by your will? These are called non-probate assets, and you name beneficiaries for them directly through your financial institution.

This is a great, flexible way to support the college. You can name Keene State College as a full or partial beneficiary of one or more of these assets. FreeWill can also help you organize these beneficiary designations to ensure your non-probate assets align with your overall plan.

Join The F. Marion Tebbetts Wood Heritage Society

By including Keene State College in your estate plans, you are providing a transformational gift that ensures our students and campus thrive for generations. To honor this commitment, we invite you to become a member of The F. Marion Tebbetts Wood Heritage Society.

The Society, founded in 1996, recognizes and honors alumni and friends who have chosen to make a gift through their estate or have otherwise created a planned gift to benefit the college

The Legacy of F. Marion Tebbetts Wood ’26

The Society is named after F. Marion Tebbetts Wood ’26, a legendary alumna, professor, and administrator. When she passed away in 1994, Marion left a substantial gift in her will that increased the value of her scholarship endowment five-fold.

Like Marion, members of the Society choose to include Keene State in their estate plans as a way of giving back and ensuring that future students have the same educational opportunities they had. By naming the Society after her, we celebrate Marion's foresight and lasting generosity that continues to benefit hundreds of students today.
